It can not give a unique definition of street photography, but its main trait is a double spontaneity: from the subject, which is not photographed in a studio or posing (and it usually do not even know that it will be photographed); and from the photographer, who has to improvise on the fly. Non si può dare una definizione precisa di cos’è la street photography, ma si potrebbe dire che è caratterizzata da una doppia spontaneità: sia del soggetto, che non viene fotografato in uno studio o in posa (e in genere non viene nemmeno avvisato che verrà fotografato) impegnato in qualche attività; sia la spontaneità del fotografo, che deve improvvisare, deve cogliere l’attimo interpretando la realtà mutevole che egli si crea davanti agli occhi. Il tutto all’interno di un ambiente non costruito: la strada! Di qui si passa per Roma, Parigi, Milano, New York e altri luoghi…
